Comptoir Libanais opens at Milan Malpensa

28 June 2024

Comptoir Group Plc (AIM: COM), the owner and/or operator of Lebanese, Middle Eastern and North African inspired restaurants, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first restaurant in Italy. Located at Milan Malpensa Airport, this exciting venture marks Comptoir’s entry into the vibrant Italian food scene.

The new Comptoir Libanais restaurant, situated in the heart of the airport’s bustling Terminal 1, promises travellers and visitors a welcoming experience. The restaurant has capacity for 210 covers. It features a contemporary design, warm ambiance, and a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. With a focus on fresh ingredients and a fusion of international flavors, Comptoir will offer sweet and savoury delicacies that redefine airport dining.

The opening marks Comptoir’s first venture with Areas, a leading global food and beverage concessions company, to bring this exciting project to life. The collaboration combines Areas’ expertise in airport hospitality with Comptoir’s commitment to introducing guests to Middle Eastern and Northern African culture and cuisine.

Nick Ayerst, CEO, commented:

“We are excited to bring our culinary expertise to Milan Malpensa. This opening marks our 4th airport concession following the opening of our Shawa restaurant at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi in March. We are strategically focused on opening restaurants in high footfall areas and Comptoir will benefit from the constant flow of travellers seeking exciting flavours that Milan Malpensa offers.”
